The rest of the car ride to Hacketts Quarry was silent, tension still present in the air even though your fighting had stopped.

Max pulls into the summer camp and parks in front of the mess hall, you both noticing that all the lights were off.

Sure you both were early but what’s the harm in that?

You don’t say anything as you step out of the car, making Max sigh and follow you.

After you look around the mess hall for a way to get in, you spot the doors to the basement with a lock on it and strange growls coming from the doors.

Curiosity getting the better of you, you break the lock and head down the stairs to the basement to investigate the strange sounds.

Max follows you down, not wanting to be alone when it was so dark out even though you both were still mad at each other.

He stands on the steps as you walk around with your phone flashlight, dropping your phone once you hear a blood curdling scream coming from the stairs.

You whip around and see Max on the ground, blood surrounding him as he tries to fight off the large beast that’s attacking him.
