“Wretched visions.” Wednesday hissed as she marched toward her dorm. Ignoring the way the students of Nevermore parted for her, afraid and cautious. She reveled in the fear, but today not even the sadistic satisfaction of making others around her quiver in fear could help her mood now.
Wednesday had just got caught in the forest by a vision when she touched a camera, and now she was soaked. She'd been looking for clues to the Hyde case — which of course she was doing illegally — when it had started raining. She had an umbrella, of course, but she passed out at the moment she touched evidence. The visions were such a nuance, yet quite useful at times.
Not this time. Wednesday thought, frustrated. Infuriated.
She could handle cold, she could handle temperatures below freezing. But something about being completely caught off guard, surprised, then waking up in the cold rain was maddening to her. It made her look weak, like she could get caught off guard at all. No, not Wednesday Addams, she was far above something as embarrassing as being taken by surprise. But the universe didn't want to take her favor today.
