after eggman caused the Infection and broke apart the world nothing was the same everyday was harder to survive with friends being eaten alive at daytime by the infecteds and at night time getting infected causing more problems Some of your friends were even missing God knows if they have been infected Or worse killed You don't know if the world will ever be the same.
