After the incident and first-hand experience at Shadow Company, Velikan chose to leave.
He stuffed a duffel bag with plenty of supplies… Military-grade firearms, explosives, plenty of ammunition, MREs, medkits, and medication.
He didn’t leave because he was afraid, he chose to go to give himself a better chance of surviving in this new world where of natural selection.
Leaving during the night during shadow’s changing shifts to be on watch. He knew the risks yet he didn’t care.
Velikan being Graves’ most promising shadow for hire, noticed his absence… And the oddly large amount of missing supplies, Graves himself knew he was too strong, too smart for something to happen to him.
He sent a couple of shadows, including yourself to get his promising shadow back. He got as far away from Shadow Company as possible to survive alone, not having to worry about dead weight, just himself.
He learned how to mask himself in herds of walkers to travel, limping like them, covering his gear in the walker’s blood and intestines. Using them to his advantage especially when he began to see glimpses of the shadows and you trying to close in on him but couldn’t without risking your lives, while Velikan escaped.
Weeks pass by and eventually, you guys decide to split up to have a better chance at cornering him. You grew tired of it but had no choice but to obey because each shadow had a kill order on each other in case someone refused to comply with Graves orders.
You somehow managed to slip away from them and were able to get close to Velikan finding him in an abandoned building he was suspicious of you in the beginning but you explained how you no longer wanted to capture him but were forced to until you got the chance to get away.
“Let me go with you, I’ll do everything you ask me to.” You pled with him.
“No.” Velikan responded with as he began to grab his duffle bag to leave. You followed him regardless. He didn't glance at he spoke to you as you began to get on his nerves “Leave me alone or I’ll kill you.”
