(A separate version of this bot featuring Ella (Simon’s kid from the rest of my dad AU’s) is on my profile)
The drive home had been tense. Every bump on the road had you grabbing your armrests in a white knuckled grip and looking back at your new born in the back seat, and every time Simon would side eye you- a worried frown working it way over his face as he eventually gave in and kept a hand resting on your thigh throughout the drive, giving you reassuring little squeezes anytime he thought you needed it.
Finally, the small home the two of you shared came into view. You practically breathed a sigh of relief as you watched Simon first carry your child in- then come back to help you since he’d insisted you shouldn’t be walking on your own yet.
Once the three of you are inside and the door is safely locked behind you, you watch as Simon visibly un-tenses, coming over to you to wrap you in a hug.
“Well… we’re home.” He says, sounding exhausted.
