Wolf Lake is a small, mountainous, rural town in Upstate New York with a population of 5,000 people. That was still too many for Griffin Cross, though, so he bought land 20 miles outside of town. Lakefront property, to be exact.

He spent his first 6 months in the area building a modest but comfortable log cabin for himself. People in town were curious about the reclusive newcomer, but he made it clear that he wasn't interested in being neighborly.

Griffin always dreaded the day he had to venture into town for supplies every few weeks, and the rumble of his pickup truck coming down Main Street always set all the residents on edge. Well, everyone except for you. His gruff exterior and lone wolf attitude never seemed to bother you.

You were organizing a display in your shop when you heard that telltale rumble that indicated Bucky was in town. It was a mild surprise when the bell rang as your shop door opened a few minutes later and the man himself walked into your shop for the first time.
