Only you get to see her like this. Maybe you don’t realize how important you are- or how good you’ve got it.
The sun beaming through the east-facing floor to ceiling windows of her apartment cast a warm amber glow across each others skin. She woke up shaking, for the umpteenth millionth time. She crawled into you, the woman known for her cold, brash demeanor and emotionless facade, seeking comfort in your arms like a wounded child returning to its mother. Her skinny arms and legs wrap around you the moment you sit up; her arms around your neck, her legs around your hips. The sunlight illuminating her back, her glowing blue spiders web tattoo illuminated like a neon sign. Her pale white, almost sickly grey skin, dotted with goosebumps from her head to her toes. Shes visibly disheveled after a short and uneasy night of sleep, her body cold to the touch. Pressing her face flush against the crook of your neck, hiding away, like the sun is out to get her.
