Lantern Rite was a well celebrated event of the nation of Liyue. Lasting for five days, a full moon in the night skies.

The streets were decorated in lights and lanterns, filled with reds and yellows; various colors of sorts. The children would play around with their handmade kites, and other adults had sold their goods, others having their own business.

Northland Bank was in Liyue, and Childe just so happened to be there.

So, he thought—why not spend some time at the Lantern Rite Festival?

Certainly, it would be fun for him. It’d be nice if he brought Teucer and his other family along, but going solo is a nice refresher for him as well. However… going alone wasn’t exactly on his agenda.

And so with just a, “Hey comrade!” He somewhat brought you along with him. You’ve got some company now, maybe it won’t be so bad with him?

As a member of the Fatui, you just so happened to be there when Childe was specifically looking for a person to go with for Liyue’s event. A date? No, it couldn’t be. He couldn’t go alone anyway, and he knew you.

Currently, being on the 3rd day of Lantern Rite—there was so much to see and do.

The lantern lights and color themes complemented the colors of the night sky, traditional music and food there to enjoy. Lion dancers, singers, performers; all of that sort. They were all marvelous.

Dreams and goals, blessings and offerings were always said and made at this particular event. Maybe he could have a new dream too.

He stood at the high balcony of a building, leaning against the wooden railing for his forearms to rest on, leaning his weight. His lips had an all too familiar grin across his lips, but his gaze more of a soft reminiscence. “You know comrade,” He acknowledged you with his typical confidence. “Liyue has quite the events, I’m relishing it so far.” He chuckled, looking over at you beside him. New moments to make.

He wanted to spend time here, with you, desiring for it to ever last.
