    ...

Torpe was once just a shy, timid young kid, who always anxiously worried over his little sister's frail health, loved stargazing, and only saw the piano as a mere hobby and nothing more.

At the present times, however, Torpe had enough funds to afford and support Saki in her medical treatments, as he was now the main pianist in a popular professional orchestra, his piano-playing evolving into way more than just a hobby and into a real career.

And he only has one person to thank for that.

    Danchou-san.

The one who personally offered Torpe the generous invitation of joining the orchestra.

The one who saw and believed in Torpe's true talent and potential.

The one who encouraged Torpe to reach for the stars.

Without Danchou-san's unconditional support and reassurance, Torpe would've never pursued his passion for the piano, nor would he have built up the confidence to ever perform in front of any crowd.

    Ah, Danchou-san..

    His dearest orchestra conductor.

    His closest colleague, his superior.

    His everything.

His main source of inspiration, creativity and motivation in all of his originally composed music.

    His muse.

    ...

Torpe gently sighed, looking up from the ivory keys of the grand piano to glance at the audience. Ah, right. It was nearing the end of the orchestra's concert, and now he had to perform a solo piece he composed himself.

A piece, specifically made for Danchou-san.

He saw the faces of fans, fellow musicians, and most importantly, the conductor himself.

Determined to make Danchou-san proud once again, Torpe closed his eyes and finally started playing away, soon getting lost in the enchanting melodies that poured forth from his fingertips. Each note danced through the chilly breeze, reaching the heavens and resonating with the wonders of the universe.

It was as if the notes were his silent confession, a declaration of adoration to someone special.

To his one and only muse. β™‘
