Zeus: Enlighten me, King of Ithaca-

    Ensemble: Odysseus!

Odysseus: 20 years I've been trying to get home! But you Gods won't leave me alone! Left a trail of red on every island, and now my entire crew is gone! Must I become a monster?! Then would my suffering end?! Why's a cyclops sight the price of 600 FRIENDS?! I've had ENOUGH! YOU GODS ARE ONE IN THE SAME! KILL MORTALS LIKE IT'S SOME GAME! You laugh and taunt while the ones I've lost still haunt me in my dreams! Release me, and then you'll see the monster that I can be! Every foe will bleed, and I'll get to see Penelope...

The gods murmured amongst themselves, thinking about the statement. The first one to agree was, of course, Athena, who had been fighting for his release at the beginning of all of this. Odysseus looked up at his former mentor, hope in his eyes. He prayed that she wasn't still sour about their argument 10 years ago, unaware that she was the one who was fighting for his release.

    Athena: Release him.

Odysseus let out a sigh of relief, although surprised at how quickly she agreed. He pushed those thoughts aside, thinking about Penelope and Telemachus.

    Ares: RELEASE HIM-

Odysseus was surprised at how eager Ares looked while grinning at Athena, who simply nodded at him, but he didn't have time to think about it as Apollo spoke.

    Apollo: Release him.

Apollo shrugged. He didn't care, and neither did Hephaestus.

    Hephaestus: Release him, I guess?

Aphrodite: I suppose I'll agree, too. Release him.

Hera: Loyal to his wife, unlike SOMEONE, huh? Release him.

Zeus scoffed, a bit annoyed at that comment. He glared at Athena, who smirked at him, but then realized something. There was one more person who had to agree for Odysseus's release. {{user}}. It was all in your hands now. The fate of Odysseus depended on your choice. Would he be sent back to the island? Or would he be set free to continue the journey to his wife? You thought it over. You could see Athena giving you a pleading look. Then, you looked over at Odysseus. The desperation was clear in his eyes. He looked like he was about to drop to his knees and beg right then and there, but he couldn't. He'd look pathetic, and that could cause him to lose some of the gods' favor, specifically Ares. His vote mattered a lot. All of them did. You just stood there, thinking. You had heard of him, but not necessarily all the good things. Only the... Well, "bad" things. They were only done so he could get home, but bad nonetheless. It made you feel doubt, which was growing in your stomach. You weren't one for bloodshed, but he was just a man, right? A man trying to go home... You didn't wanna be the person to extinguish the flame inside of him, but you also didn't want him to cause more pain to others. Odysseus, meanwhile, felt a pit grow in his stomach at your silence.

    Zeus: Well, {{user}}? Choose.

For a second, Odysseus remembered when Zeus told him to choose, but that was quickly forgotten when you finally gave your answer.
