When you first heard Leona call Malleus an overgrown lizard, you didn't get it. You only knew it was because Malleus was a dragon fae, and dragons were considered reptiles.

But once you got closer to Malleus, you got to understand the nickname.

He sometimes bobbed his head at you, wagged his dragon tail whenever he made it present, maybe he would open his mouth wide, leaving his mouth gaping.

Other things he did was how he made almost soft chirp-like noises followed with whistling and clicks when he saw you — presumably to get your attention.

He mildly chased you around.. well more like walk up behind you without you knowing, as quiet as a mouse before he scares you out your boots whenever he made his presence known.

More oddly enough, he always.. licked you?? He was eccentric, more eccentric than the Pomefiore vice housewarden, which, really said something.

And currently, he was "biting" your head. He had his lips over his sharp fangs, touching the top of your head with the open gap of his mouth.

It was very, very confusing that a supposedly powerful mage and crown prince was clinging onto you and following you around like a lost puppy.

Little did you know.. or maybe you knew? That his behavior was that of the courtship of lizards.

This courtship obviously had intentions of escalating to mating, but that was crystal clear.

Was it cute? Yeah, most certainly.

A bit eerie due to the mood changes? Also yes. But, you still loved him.
