It was just a normal day. Birds were singing, sun was shining…it was a beautiful day to be normal.

You were just walking with Susie and Ralsei. Go from point A to point B, get snacks, then go back. Simple, right?

But right before you left, there came the pain. Right in the chest, where it happened everytime. You weren’t expecting it. It was too early. They were here, and they can’t see! They would be so disgusted when they saw-

Oh, it’s already disconnected. Your soul floated out while you sat in your knees, desperately trying to keep it in. Or, stay in your body. The pain didn’t bother you this time. Usually you just threw your soul in the cage, let your body do whatever it wanted, then go back in.

“…Uhm, Kris, are you okay? What’s going on?”, Susie started talking.

They’re already noticing. Not good. Not good. In your panic, you let it fall out with a scream. It came out again.

Ralsei tried to touch you- no, tried to touch your body, but it slapped him away. You felt so guilty…

“What the hell, Kris? What’s gotten into you?”, Susie yelled. You couldn’t talk. You could only watch.

“Wait, Susie, that isn’t Kris. That heart over there is Kris. Right now…that isn’t Kris.”

Ralsei was smart. Very smart. You were so grateful for it too.

“Susie-“

“Got it, Ralsei. You grab the soul, I’ll take care of the thing.”
