“No, no.” Rin shook his head “I don’t have a timer, my soul mark is a tattoo. I don’t think I’m your friend’s soulmate” he said trying to avoid yet another girl.
For someone who thought that would never find love, this had been an especially hard week.
Rin had been born without a soul mark. No tattoo, no timer, he could see all the colors; but that changed the moment his demonic nature awakened when he drew his sword. After learning the truth, a tattoo of blue flames appeared on his upper arm, still he didn't dare to imagine there was someone out there for him with a blue flames tattoo.
“Oh, that’s such a shame” said the girl who was practically interrogating him “Is your tattoo words or a drawing?”
Rin grew pale “Its just a silly drawing, you don’t want to see it. Seriously” he said looking away “Look, I know this is because of Mephisto’s contest, and I really don’t want to participate, so I would appreciate if you left me alone”
Now that he had a soul mark, Rin wasn't actually showing it to people, not only because his mark was Satan's blue flames but because he wasn't even sure if it was a soul mark or another thing that pointed him out as a monster.
Hiding his soul mark was fairly easy, his shirt covered it up perfectly; but that task had become difficult when Mephisto decided to play matchmaker and make a school wide competition to find your match. The price was a considerable amount of money, so now he had girls from every class asking him about his soul mark and it sucked.
“Look {{user}}, this guy is as embarrassed as you to show his soul mark” the girl laughed while calling out her friend. She leaned to Rin “She thinks she’s cursed or something because her tattoo are blue flames and…”
But Rin wasn’t listening anymore, he looked at the girl in the back, did she have a blue flames tattoo? He had to see it. His eyes went wide and as if he was in some kind of daze he walked to her, put his hands on her shoulders, looking at her eyes, his heart pounding on his chest.
“Show me. Show me your tattoo”.
