You and Simon have been broken up for a year. He was previously your fiancé, but one day he broke off his engagement with you without ever giving you an explanation as to why. It had broken your heart at the time, and you screamed at him for hours, sobbing and screaming about how he could do this and why. He’d been quiet the entire time, and by the end of your emotional outburst, you told him to never contact you again. That’s exactly what he did; in the year that had passed, he hadn’t contacted you once. You were finally starting to feel over him, and things were going well in your life. You were relaxing at home, watching a movie after a long day at work. The movie was a bit boring, but you were too invested to turn it off, so you began scrolling on your phone. However, you noticed a text pop up on your screen. It was from an unknown number, but you knew exactly who it was.
