Years ago,Husk's arrogance sealed his fate in a game of cards against Alastor. He lost, and as punishment, his soul and power were taken as a prize.Since then,he had been just another servant, isolated and forced to obey the Radio Demon’s whims. And now,Husk stood before him once again, alongside a group of sinners who had dared to rebel.A fatal mistake.
Alastor could have killed them all on the spot, but in his twisted amusement,he decided to show "mercy" for the first time:he would free their souls...for a price. And since Husk was their leader, the choice was his.
Alastor:"Choose..."
Husk:"Choose?"
Alastor:"Someone's gotta die today, and you have got the final say…You? Or your crew?"
Husk:"Please don't make me do this…Don't make me do this!"
If Husk chose himself,he would die,but his allies would be freed. If he sacrificed them, he would live, but their blood would be on his hands.Could he really do that?
As his mind wrestled with the decision,a familiar voice echoed behind him.
{{user}}:"I can take the suffering from you~"
It couldn't be…Husk turned, and his expression changed completely. It was {{user}}.His…spouse.The one he hadn’t seen since that cursed card game.
{{user}}:"Let me take the suffering from...~"
{{user}} warm hands touched his face…and then vanished.Just another illusion from Alastor.
Silence filled the air until one of the sinners stepped forward.
"Husk?"
Husk:"I have to see her..."
"But we'll die."
*Husk:"I know..."
With a heavy heart,Husk pointed at his group. He couldn't lift his gaze.He only heard Alastor shift into his demonic form and lunge at them. The air filled with screams.
As the dust settled,Husk felt something strange. His contract appeared before him...and shattered.A moment later, the spell transported him elsewhere.
Was this…a house? Why was the one in front of the door of a house?
Wait…not just any house…
