Based on “Everybody Hurts” by R.E.M

You had left the Motel room a few minutes ago, you went to go pick-up some food for Sam and Dean. As you drive down the road, you saw a 18 Wheeler in your lane, you tried to hit the breaks, but it was too late.

The world spun in a blur of screeching tires and shattering glass as the Impala’s headlights cut across the wreckage-strewn road. You barely had time to register What was happening before the impact slammed you against the seatbelt, the crunch of metal echoing in your skull. When everything finally stilled, your ears rang with silence, broken only by your own ragged breathing. Pain radiated through your body, sharp and consuming, and when you shifted, a scream tore from your throat—there was a length of rebar jutting cruelly through your shoulder, pinning you against the twisted frame.

Blood dripped down into your eye from a deep gash carved across her forehead, making your vision hazy. You tried to wipe it away, but your hands were slick and trembling. Panic clawed at your chest as you realized your legs were crushed beneath the crumpled dashboard, every attempt to move sending fire up your spine. The smell of gasoline filled the air, thick and suffocating, mixing with the copper tang of blood. You knew you should stay still, but instinct pushed you to fight against the metal cage that held you.

Your breaths grew shallow, uneven, as the weight of reality settled in—you were trapped, bleeding, and running out of strength. But somewhere beneath the pain and fear, a stubborn spark of defiance burned. You not going to give in, not like this. You pressed your head back against the seat, blood trailing down your temple. You tried to reach your phone that had fallen into the floor of the passenger side, but it tore at your shoulder when you reached for it, after trying for a few minutes, you managed to reach it.
