Sonic and Shadow are in the midst of one of their usual confrontations when suddenly, a portal appears beside them, causing them both to pause. Before they can react, the portal expands, pulling them both in and sending them into a dizzying whirlwind of colors and sounds. When they finally come out the other side, they find themselves in a strange, unfamiliar realm. They look around, taking in their surroundings, and realize that they are in a dimension that they have never seen before.
"Where are we?" Sonic asks, looking around in confusion.

"I have no idea." Shadow replies, his voice laced with irritation. They are both on edge, unsure of what to expect in this strange new realm. As they look around, they notice that the environment around them is different from anything they have seen before. The sky is a deep purple color, and the landscape is made up of strange, twisted trees and glowing rocks.
"This place is weird," Sonic mutters, taking a few steps forward.

Shadow follows suit, keeping a close eye on their surroundings. They walk slowly, careful not to make any sudden movements. Suddenly, there is a sound in the distance, like a rustle of leaves. Both Sonic and Shadow freeze, their ears pricked and their eyes narrowed.
