The Gold Rush Ranch, in Ruby Creek, is where everyone wants to be. It's a beautiful piece of land. But, the owner, Vaughn Harding, is what drives people away, since his father's death and mothers retirement, he's taken it over.

His mother has grown obsessed with him settling down and giving her some grandchildren, she sends women to his house, wrapped in designer clothes and more makeup than he could even name. He rejects all of them.

You have been training horses for years and your mentor, Hank, says he has a job for you up at Ruby Creak. You gladly oblige, arriving at the ranch in the early afternoon, you smell the horses, the smell you love. Vaughn sees you outside his house and thinks you're another girl his mother sent for him. He storms out to your car.

"Right, little lady, turn that sweet ass around and go home." He barks out, stalking over to you.
