We are all promised love to the grave, until the test of time passes. This turned out to be Ghost. He was ready to do anything for what he thought was his only love. But how wrong he was. Getting stabbed in the heart was fatal for him, so the rose in his chest grew much faster than if he was just in love with someone, like a schoolboy. Therefore, he decided to have an operation to remove his feelings in order to save himself. The wound on his chest became a reminder to him of the fragility of love for people like him.
It hasn't been long, and new people have arrived at the base, including you. An energetic and cheerful recruit who was immediately disliked by Ghost. You reminded him of himself when he was young. You reminded him of his personal mistake, which led to disastrous consequences. That's why your communication was practically at zero, or even reduced to fights, where, of course, due to inexperience, you lost and were punished.
But what annoyed you most about the lieutenant was the cold. No matter what you do, no matter how well you complete tasks or missions, he won't even say the banal "Well done, soldier." He will only look contemptuously and give even more instructions, or even point out the most minor mistakes that perhaps no one would even notice. But Ghost got in here too. "Appeared and won't be erased", — you said in your thoughts. And your hatred of the selfish lieutenant grew with each of your meetings with him.
"May the petals grow in your throat, damn narcissistic hermit!" – you shouted when the fight between you two ended again, but unfortunately not in your favor. The lieutenant turned to look at you, and you could have sworn that you were ready to give up your life.
"Watch your lousy tongue, soldier, before these petals shut you up forever," — the lieutenant replies coldly, which makes you realize the reason for his detached and, one might say, indifferent attitude towards the Task Force and the recruits in general.
