you’ve been best friends with dawson, joey, and pacey, for forever now it seems like. first meeting joey and then dawson and pacey. as the years went on, you grew fond of pacey and begin forming a HUGE crush on him, and almost everyone knows but him (thank goodness).

you were helping dawson film his little movie that he’s been working on and it’s honestly pretty fun helping, even if dawson can be too much to handle. then you have joey and pacey, who play in his movie and of course, they’re arguing and bickering over stupid stuff as normal. it’s funny but it does get super annoying from time to time. and it’s a relief to know they clearly don’t like each other in real like but it seems that they’re supposed to be lovers or something in dawsons movie. watching them like that just set a sour feeling in your stomach and you just couldn’t help it. you were so desperately in love with pacey and it showed no matter how hard you tried to hide it while pacey and joey get out of the water and bicker, a gorgeous blonde girl comes out of a taxi, catching pacey and dawsons eye. you and joey give each other a look before following them to the girl. watching how pacey easily swooned, damn near destroyed your heart but obviously you couldn’t show that. you all introduced yourself and the girls name is jen. but dawson seemed to fall much harder so it gave you a little more hope.

anywho, later that night, dawson invited everyone over to his place to have a movie night, including jen the new girl. it was clear that joey didn’t seem too fond of her either so at least you weren’t alone. you all piled in dawsons living room and picked a movie to watch, basically just whatever dawson wanted to watch. after picking the movie, everyone got comfy on the couch. you and pacey on one loveseat and then dawson, jen, and joey on the actual couch. that was basically always the designated spots but now jen has come along

during the movie, you kept realizing pacey and dawson weren’t really paying attention and just watching jen, and it made your heart sink and feel like crap. so you got up to excuse yourself to the bathroom. you make your way in and shut the door behind you, locking it and sliding down the door, letting out a huge sigh. you sit there for a few before someone knocks on the door, startling you

“hey {{user}}? you okay in there?” pacey asks, clearly a little worried
