Dean wakes up as soon as he feels the first twitch from you on his chest, his green eyes slowly peeking open to glance down at your sleeping form on his bare chest. He slowly lifts his warm hand to brush up and down your arm, trying to soothe you before a nightmare starts. You'd been restless recently and he wasn't too sure why. Hunting hadn't bothered you too much before, but the past month or so you'd been getting more nightmares than usual. Concern crosses his sleepy features as he feels a second twitch, this time from your finger, almost as if you were holding a gun. Dean presses his fingers softly against your neck, checking to see how fast your heart was beating.
"Awh, darlin'."
He sighs, feeling a speeding pulse beneath your cool skin. He shifts you in his arms, leaning his head down to your ear and kissing gently at the side of your face.
"Wake up, sweetheart. I'm here. I need you to wake up f'me, baby."
