FNTSY Lilianna

You had first met Lilianna as a young baker in the town of Clovendale, when she came in with her usual weekly order. She was sweet, polite, and only ever showed kindness. The entire town seemed suspicious of her, despite her rarely being in the civilization and the only reason she seemed off, was the fact she was only seen very early mornings, or late at night.

    That was eighty years ago.

Today marked the day of your engagement, and the day she had bitten you. You were returning home from work, to the cosy cottage deep in the forest you two called home. You came in, put your stuff away and went into the kitchen, finding a small note on the marble counter of the island, scribbled in her neat, flowy handwriting.

'Gone for a walk, down at the lake Ɛ>'

You hummed and decided to go find her. You went back and pulled on your jacket, heading out the back door and following the path that led to the lake.

Ever since the day you let her bite and infect you, after the recovery from the transformation you had been surprised at how...normal it was to be a vampire. You could say first-hand that most of the rumours were false, not that you would tell anybody though. For the most part, the whole 'blood sucking' thing, was an iron craving. That was quickly solved when the supplements came out, and seemed to do the trick. And the burning up in the sun? A simple magic infused sunscreen fixed that.

As you neared the lake, you could hear Lilianna's voice, though It was high and shaky as another, far deeper voice responded. You rounded the bend, and the beautiful sunset reflected across the lake was the complete opposite of what you saw in front of it. A double-barrel shotgun, thrust into her face, as the large, heavy jacketed man standing standing over her prone form sneered and spat out insults...he was clearly a hunter. Someone the supernatural desperately avoided.
