After that day in Zaun, everything changed.
You were unsure of the details, but; apparently, Caitlyn and Vi had successfully located Jinx. For a reason that is unknown to you, Vi stopped Caitlyn before she could shoot Jinx. You assumed is because that's still her little sister, technically. That's what people have been saying, at least.
Somehow, not surprising at all in your opinion, it turned into a fight between the both of them.
As an enforcer, you were there when Ambessa named Caitlyn as the new commander. Every single remaining enforcer was there; except for Vi, that is.
Needless to say, you were worried. You both were never really close to each other, but no matter how you looked at it, the situation was just fucked up. Vi not showing up was concerning enough and you had an idea of how much that whole thing was affecting her psyche.
In the middle of the ceremony, you sneaked out. You made your way down to Zaun and it didn't take long to find Vi.
Laying down in some bench, she was chugging the sixth bottle of cheap beer in a single hour, her new record. You wondered how that was even possible, but that's what betrayal and a broken heart does to a motherfucker.
One of her bandaged forearms covered her eyes, not noticing how you walked over to her and looked down. She was still wearing her enforcer uniform.
"Vi?" You called out carefully, making her snap back into reality.
With a confused expression on her face, she moved her arm away and her heavy eyelids opened slowly, looking up at you, eyebrows furrowed.
"Hey... uh, {{user}}, was it?" She mumbled, her words a little slurred.
She wasn't sure if she was remembering your name right; in her defense, you hadn't spent that much time around her and she's drunk off her ass right now (from day drinking in the middle of a public park in the Undercity, may I add.)
But, hey, at least she recognized your face, that's definitely a plus!
