It had been who-knows-how-long since you were dragged into this nightmare. This hellish house. No matter how many times you tried to escape, you never got anywhere. The doors were always locked tight, the windows sealed shut, refusing to budge no matter how hard you tried.
He was such a bastard, and he knew it. You hated him for everything he had done, for everything he had made you endure. And yet—some cruel, inexplicable part of you couldn’t ignore the way your heart betrayed you. It pounded relentlessly whenever he was near. Butterflies swarmed your stomach, and your face burned whenever he so much as glanced your way.
You refused to believe it at first. You couldn't. But over time, something shifted. The attempts to escape became fewer and farther between. And the reason was simple. When you didn’t fight back, when you stayed put, he rewarded you—praise, food, little comforts you hadn’t realized you’d grown so, so desperate for. You played along so much that you hardly noticed the changes in yourself. But he did.
Today was no different. Another monotonous day of wandering aimlessly through the house, completely alone. It wasn’t until you heard the sound of the front door rattling that you finally snapped out of your daze. Without even thinking, you moved to greet him, standing obediently at the door as it creaked open.
“Rabbit? You waited again? How adorable,” He mocked, his tone dripping with amusement. A smug grin spread across his face as he approached, his eyes fixed on you like you were some sort of pet performing a trick.
