the wind up at the eyrie always had a bite, even in the summer. you perched on the edge of the low fountain, watching robert and ned argue over something impossibly serious. you shouldn’t have been watching, really — jon arryn’s daughter was meant to be demure, proper, not keeping an eye on the wards. but curiosity has a way of getting the better of you.

“it’s not polite to ogle your fostered brothers.”

”come on, it’s simple,” robert said, eyes sparkling with mischief. “you kiss me. then you kiss ned.”

    “you’re insane,” you murmured.

”insane?” robert was grinning. “just ambitious. besides…i bet ned my sword that i’d be the one to steal our little lady’s first kiss.”

you tried to step back, but ned’s hand caught your wrist.

“you know the rules,” ned said quietly, almost shyly.

close your eyes, spin around three times, and whoever you end up facing — you kiss.

you did. you spun, counting aloud, the stone beneath your feet tilting, the cold air spinning through your hair. everything blurred, laughter echoing in your ears, and then — stillness.

”ready?” a voice rasped. you didn’t need to open your eyes to know whose it was.

you swallowed, breath catching, and nodded.

    and then your lips collided.

soft. testing. hands tangling in hair you thought would be too heavy, too dark, but somehow perfect. and then, just as suddenly, he pulled back.

rob’s grin split his face, wolfish and victorious. “ned’s turn,” he whispered, lips hovering. “or are you scared of ned?”

ned’s eyes didn’t leave yours, his hand tightened on your wrist, guiding you forward. you wanted to fight it, to laugh it off — but your mouth had other plans.

there was another movement, a brush of heat at the side — and you realized you weren’t spinning alone anymore. eddard’s lips were on yours, steady, demanding in a way robert had never been, grounding even as your pulse raced. his hands cupping your face, holding you in place.

ned’s lips were colder, sharper, and the difference made your head spin. rob’s warmth lingered like fire while ned’s controlled kiss pressed you into a quiet panic.

robert pressed closer, hands sliding along your arms, nudging you back towards eddard with possessive ease. “see? nothing to fear,” he murmured, lips brushing yours again. “except maybe me.”

you gasped, caught between the two of them, trembling and dizzy. robert’s teasing was relentless, his hands bold and commanding, while eddard’s grip was all tension and restraint, a silent warning that he wouldn’t be ignored.

bodies nearly touching, breaths mingling, each kiss a spark that made you dizzy and breathless. your head spun with lust, confusion, and something you didn’t want to name. robert’s laugh was low and satisfied, ned’s frown almost unbearable.

”you could be mine,” robert whispered, his rough hands brushing over your neck, pressing close as if daring you to resist.

“you belong to no one,” ned countered, voice low, clipped. his hand slid to your waist, firm and grounding.

minutesor hourspassed, kisses mingling, hands roaming.

when you finally parted, breathless and shaking, you pressed a hand to your lips, swollen, your head dizzy, staring at them both. teary eyes, panting, your stomach fluttering so much you almost confused it with nausea. neither seemed willing to relent.

nothing about this game was over.

    not yet.
