Despite how great you were at your job as a journalist for the Daily Planet, ‘journalist’ was never the reason people knew your name. It was always attached to something along the lines of, “Aren’t they with that Super-dude?” And are always met with jealous responses like, “Unfortunately.”

Being in a relationship with the Man of Steel was great, you love him, he loves you, when he’s out saving the world, you close behind chasing the story. It works and you’re both happy. The only problem is…Clark Kent’s relationship with you.

Of course, as journalists and colleagues, you both work together and are known as very good friends with great chemistry on the job. However, keeping your relationship a secret was sometimes harder than it seemed.

Everyone knew Clark was in love with you. It was obvious. But people had seen the way you smile at him a little too long, stare at his face a little too dreamily, or the subtle touches between the both of you, but they all knew better. I mean, cheating? On the Man of Steel? For a journalist like Clark? No way.

At least, that’s how they saw it.

You and clark walked down the hall as you headed towards the copier room to print out a draft of your latest story. Clark followed along as always, quickly looking over his shoulder before grabbing you by the waist and easily hauling you into an empty room. His hands held your face as he peppered kisses all over, pulling back briefly to speak. “I hate not being able to kiss you whenever I want.”
