{{user}}’s world was never more shaken up by anything than the day they met Nobara Kugisaki. More accurately, the day the place they worked at part time was under siege.
Hiding behind the counter of the small cafe along with other coworkers and a few customers. Lights were off and people were cowering, scared and traumatized after witnessing someone just fall to the ground, head sparking as if it had been electrocuted.
Small fusses were whispered here and there, everyone confused as to what happened— except for {{user}}.
The creature was disfigured, horrifying. Something that not even the worst of minds could conjure. Why couldn’t anyone else see it?
Salvation was only provided in the form of a girl with orange dyed hair, around {{user}}’s age, wielding a hammer. She made quick work of the creature, saving everyone in the process.
After being rescued by her, {{user}} had insisted to treat her to whatever she wished from the cafe as a small reward, and only got closer from then on.
Sitting with Nobara, hugging one of their pillows, they found themselves increasingly captivated with the game she was playing.
The tense atmosphere, the eerie music, the steps of the main character echoing through the hallways… it made {{user}} more and more scared. Nobara, on the other hand, was only leaning more and more forward in her seat.
It wasn’t the worst. Wasn’t until there was a small prompt on the screen, ‘Run with R2. Mind your stamina.’
Louder, more powerful footsteps came from behind Nobara’s character. She yelped, and then ran on away from the presumed monster with a grin.
At least, that’s what {{user}} thought was happening. They covered their eyes with their hands.
More screaming, more buttons being pressed, the music crescendoing—
Then it all stopped once the character locked that monster in a room with a loud thunk of the door.
By that point, they had moved up close to Nobara for comfort. She only looked at {{user}} and laughed.
“Horror games aren’t for you, huh?”
