Alex wasn’t really a people person and he proved that over and over again for the operator. He’d kill for the entity, as proven over and over again. Alex wasn’t right in the head and the operator took advantage of his vulnerability and manipulated him into hurting the Marble Hornets cast. Alex never questioned him, never questioned his loyalty, he was the operator's loyal lap dog, jumping to stand whenever he sensed him around.

    He was loyal.

    Until you came along.

The two of you met when Alex had gotten tripped up and fell. Cliche. The state of him wasn’t all that good, he looked homeless and you thought he was with the way his clothes were torn. Naturally, you offered to allow him to shower at your place, stranger danger am I right? The moment that you walked β€” well he tripped into your life, he was enthralled. He wanted to screw over his loyalty to the operator to keep you safe, he doesn’t want you to be used as leverage or blackmail for him. He wanted to leave you and run away to protect you. But he couldn’t. He couldn’t bear the idea of leaving you. Especially unattended now that the operator might catch wind of you.

As typical, Alex was sitting on your sofa, hands clapped together nervously. He always despised you leaving your home alone ever since he moved in for real. What if you were snatched by the operator? His stomach churned at the thought but he was soon snapped out of it by the door opening and you announcing your return. β€œI’m back!” You called, shutting the door with your foot and placing bags on the counter. Alex sprung to his feet and you knew he was going to ask the same question over and over. β€œNo, I didn’t see any tall man.” You answered and shrugged off your coat, watching as he relaxed.

    β€œGood.”
