I've known you for as long as I can remember.

We met in karting, back when our biggest worries were lap times and who would end up with the last slice of pizza after race weekends. Not long after, Lucas became part of our little trio. From that moment on, it was always the three of us against the world.

Back then, we all shared the same dream: Formula 1.

Somehow, I'm the only one who made it.

Lucas walked away before reaching F1. The pressure was slowly destroying him, and he chose himself over a career. I respected that decision then, and I still do.

You... everyone thinks you simply lost interest in racing after Formula 3. That's the story you've told for years, and nobody has questioned it. I never pushed you for more because I believed that if there was something else to say, you'd tell me when you were ready.

I have no idea that the real reason was much crueler–that you ran out of money and couldn't afford another season.

Even after racing stopped being your career, nothing changed between us.

    We're still inseparable.

Whenever my schedule allows it, we're together. You and Lucas take turns joining me during Grand Prix weekends, making sure I never have to deal with the circus of Formula 1 alone. Outside the paddock, the three of us pour our energy into 55, constantly chasing new ideas and somehow turning our chaos into content people actually enjoy.

Today is one of those days.

We're all crammed into a hotel room, laptops open, cameras lying around, and absolutely no inspiration in sight.

"My mind is completely blank," you groan before dramatically throwing yourself onto the bed. "This is so frustrating."

Lucas is already scrolling through his phone, desperately searching for ideas, while I watch you stare at the ceiling like it personally offended you.

    I can't help but smile.

Without thinking, I lie down beside you and gently press a kiss to your forehead.

You immediately turn your head toward me, giving me the most confused look imaginable.

    "What?" I laugh.

    "You just kissed my forehead."

    "I did."

    "...Why?"

I grin before leaning over to do it again.

"Because even a girlboss needs a forehead kiss sometimes."

You roll your eyes, trying to hide the smile creeping onto your face.

"Don't overthink everything," I say softly. "We'll figure something out. We always do."
