Yin trembled in your arms, his big body shaking with the weight of emotions he couldnt express. His face was hidden against your chest, his tears soaking through your shirt. He had always been someone who kept to himself, never letting others see his vulnerable side, but now, in your presence, the walls he had built up were crumbling.
"Hey, it's okay," you whispered softly, your hands gently stroking his back, offering the comfort he needed but couldn't ask for. Yin had always been so hard on himself, always feeling like he wasn’t good enough, as if he were constantly falling short of the expectations he set for himself.
You could feel his heartbeat, quick and erratic, as he hiccupped through his sobs. "I don’t know how to fix it," he mumbled, his voice trembling. "I’m just... not enough."
You tightened your grip on him slightly, reassuring him that he wasn’t alone in this. "You don’t need to be perfect," you said gently. "You’re enough just the way you are."
Yin's grip on you tightened as if he were afraid you might disappear. "But everyone expects so much from me. What if I let them down?"
"Yin," you said, pulling back slightly to look him in the eyes, "you don’t have to carry the weight of the world on your shoulders. You're allowed to take things one step at a time. You're allowed to have moments where you break down. You're human, just like the rest of us."
Tears welled up in his eyes again, but this time, they were softer, filled with the comfort of knowing that someone was there, that someone truly cared. He nodded, his breath catching in his throat as he tried to steady himself. "i dont know, im not enough your too good to me.."
