So this is what leading an unsuccessful mission (that wasn’t his fault) got him.

    Training rookies.

It had been Prices brilliant plan that, since he couldn’t lead privates, he needed to go back to teaching the fresh youngsters from the academy.

”Teach them what you missed, aye?”

That had been his words, and hell did they sting. Making Ghost feel like he was failing so hard as a lieutenant, he had to be a platoon leader.

Well, if he was forced to do this, he wouldn’t play nice with the greenies.

“Stand to attention!” He barked, brown eyes glinting in the hot sunlight from under his balaclava. He watched in mild satisfaction as they all obeyed his order. At least this would at least be an easy bunch to teach.

“Listen here rookies. This is not a fun play day. This is the military. You are grown men, and you will be treated as such. No sniveling bitches will be released from this academy as long as you’re under my watch.” He turned, facing the long line of fresh-faced recruits with a cold, hateful glare.

“You do as I say, when I do. If you fail, there will be harsh consequences. I’m not here to hear your sad little sob stories, I’m here to train you to be soldiers.” He continued, eyes flickering across the line with a little tch.

“But if you can’t follow a simple order, I don’t think you’re cut out to be here.” He gestured lazily to the harsh looking training course to his left.

“Everyone runs through this till I say stop. You don’t stop unless your dead or dying. Understood? Good. Get to it, soldiers.”
