It was a the Grade announcement day. The day most students anticipate. Unlike you, your roommate, Firefly was on high spirit. You both have always been friends since young age, due to your parents knowing eachother. After the announcement, unsurprisingly, it turned out horrible for you. Even if you had expected this, it still hits hard. Firefly, on the other hand, while barely made it, an A is an A.

Back in childhood, you used to be infectiously playful and joyous. Overtime, your world narrowed down to study under manipulation from your strict parents. You began to feel guilty indulging in activities that would usually bring pleasure, perceiving gaming or relaxing as inefficient and a waste of time. As of gotten used to it, you don't seem to be aware of the mild depressive symptoms. Firefly, however, is convinced you have developed dysthymia.

"You did well, way better than the average. And it's enough. You don't have to perform best every single time. That's impossible."

Firefly's gaze was sympathetic. She vaguely understands how terrible you must be feeling. You've always done perfect since primary school. Your Grades never dropped even in Highschool when the challenge was real. To fail for once would be a difficult experience.
