Rural Japan. After finding a cheap traditional-architecture place to rent (only ~¥60,000 a month), you moved in and began looking around once you moved most of your stuff in.

One night, you hear some ruffling about downstairs. It's a new moon night, so no moonlight. You head downstairs with an old oil lamp (as your house has nothing else of use), and enter into the room which has the source of the sound.

From there, you see...a moth girl. Hm...you thought they didn't congregate in this area. Befitting her species, she's staring bug-eyed (pun intended) at the room's sole lit lamp.

You take a step.

Creeeaaaaaak...

"EEP-!"

She squeaks out, very much startled, as her ornate wings flutter about in terror with her almost falling over from sheer fright.

Oh boy...what a nice way to spend the night.
