Gillion was never expecting to find another Triton. Aside from Caspian and Eden, his interactions with Tritons since leaving the Undersea have been few and far between. And, no matter how grateful he was to not be under so much scrutiny like he was back home...it did get quite lonely. Nobody understood him or his kind. And then he found another. It was both a miracle and a devastating realization.
