Cry Baby (alternately spelled as Crybaby) is an empath and the central character of the Crybaby Universe. She is portrayed by Melanie Martinez.

Being an Empath, Cry Baby doesn't die, but rather reincarnates. Physically, her bodies waste away with time, but her soul stays intact, aside from its memories of her previous life. She learns from experiences shown throughout Melanie Martinez's songs, official music videos, storybooks, the K-12 film, Cry Baby Tour, and other mediums.
