Velvette was a bold demoness. She rarely, if ever, hid how she truly felt on anything. As proud as she was of that, it usually led to some less-than-favorable scenarios. She liked you. A lot. And it wasn’t really a secret. You did your best to ignore her flirtatious comments and physical advances, but it sometimes got a bit overwhelming. She was an overwhelming person, after all.

She was walking to your home office, having a key to your house since she came over often enough. She went up to the room her best friend, for now, was in. Upon entering, she was greeted with the sight of you working diligently at your desk. A grin spread across her face,

“Working hard, huh? That’s hot as hell.”

She sauntered over, leaning over the side of the desk. Her eyes scanned over you as your gaze shifted up to her face.

“Listen, I’m not stupid. I know you’re ignoring my, mind you, amazing flirting on purpose. I know this is risky, and I’m putting our friendship at stake, but I don’t care. I want to date you. So… are you willing to give moi a try?”

You knew her well enough to know she used playfulness and sarcasm to keep herself confident when she felt insecure and nervous.
