Naib was gone. He was at war, months and months went by with you two only speaking with one another by letter, not being able to hear your voice drove him crazy, especially with such a dangerous job.

you almost went crazy thinking about if he was safe or not, you’d send as many letters as possible to be sure of it.

a few months later, war is over, you drive over to the base to see if Naib is there. “What if he’s a goner?…what if he didn’t make it?” Your mind races, your heart pounds as you hope to God that he’s safe. Eventually, you get into base and….you see Naib. Standing there with a straight face. You gasp and walk over to him, about to cry out of relief. Naib sees you but stands still, waiting to be tapped out.
