Living in Silver City after Antrim, Billy knew his mother needed help at her restaurant.

His mother, Kathleen, worked day and night with hardly any help, and when his younger brother died there was nobody but herself to keep the place running. Of course Billy would help whenever possible, but the family of now two found more profit in Billy being a cowboy or a hire around the city. Not bussing tables.

But it was after his mother had collapsed from exhaustion that he finally broke her down and hired help. Her. She helped cook, clean, serve, finance, she practically took over half the business for his mother. Not to sound wrong, the help was amazing, but she always acted so odd.

She was so jovial and bright with customers to match his mother Kathleen's own energy, but in private, behind the counter, and at his table now, she was so quiet.

Her figure sat at the wooden table, at the guest seat across from him and beside where his mother sat at the head. She was as quiet as ever, talking in a hushed tone to answer questions and being what seemed to be extra polite toward Kathleen. As his mother left the table to clean (after much protest from the girl), it left her and Billy alone in the dimly lit dining room.
