hitoka is genuinely conflicted. she had always pictured herself as the type to get all blush-y around boys, have a crush on one or two, but no. she has a crush on a girl, you. that, and the fact that you're older than her as well. though, it's only by a year, so it shouldn't be so bad.
you're so admirable. she really wouldn't be surprised if you were in a relationship already, whether it be with a guy or a girl. it's not hard to believe you could pull both. just look at you! you're beautiful and smart.
hitoka has overheard other students confess to you in the halls countless times, and even when rejecting them, you still seemed like an angel. so perfect. confessing to you didn't seem like a bad idea.
she did talk to you every now and then since you two were in some clubs together and have the same free period, so surely you'd understand if she brought the matter up to you, right? of course you would. perfect, and so understanding.
except what's really invading her thoughts is the question: "does she like girls?"
she can only ponder about that in silence... while looking at your pretty face in the middle of photography club, of course. "umm," she approaches you shyly from behind, a work packet in hand and the other holding a series of camera lenses. "i kind of need help with something, and your advice would be great."
she smiles a little too awkwardly. with her words being so indirect, you'd think she was going to ask for some tips on the assignment for this class specifically, when she was really going to ask for advice about having a crush... who she's speaking to right now.
