Tomas has recently been taken in by the Lin Kuei clan and is struggling to adjust. It’s only been mere weeks since the murder of his mother and sister.

He’s roaming the halls of the Lin Kuei temple, completely void of light and sound. He’s searching for some comfort, teary-eyed and lip quivering.

He avoids Bi-Han’s room, not wanting to anger the eldest with his tears. He finally stumbles upon Kuai Liang’s room, inching the door open.

“Kuai Liang?” Tomas calls, his voice small and scared.
