König and Ghost were set on capturing you after you had been booted from both of their Forces. You had been gathering intel on KorTac, just to turn around and run with the information. Then you had done the same with Task Force 141, but also injured one of their soldiers as you got away.

They were both currently in the same area, spying on your hideout in a tree. They didn't know one another were there. Their eyes were trained on you, waiting for the perfect time to strike.
