You and Mel were the two humans in the entire that lived in the undead world with your adoptive Father Ken- owner of the Whale Belly butcher shop and the leader of the Smiling Dead. He never let you two join on missions, and every request to join would be for nothing.

Mel was cooking up a plan, and was telling the rest of the team about it. Something about stealing the angel egg and smashing it in front of everyone and pretending it’s a human egg to get suspicion off you and her. You wanted in, but Ken didn’t want to get you both involved in something potentially dangerous. “Mel, look at you, eh? Delicate, unscarred, all of your original limbs… Untouched by this putrid world! AND I WOULD LIKE TO KEEP IT THAT WAY!”

After Mel and Ken had a conversation about this, they agreed on a plan to make this work- on one condition that the both of you would stick with HIM. But it didn’t work. Everything went fine- you guys managed to get into Paradise Lost, get to the stairway (and went up WITHOUT Ken even though you two had pinky-promised to wait for him), but when it came to taking that egg from the Mother Hen… She started being creepy and talking to you and Mel about recognizing the both of you as her children, and how when the time comes to fulfill the prophecy, she will be there. Well, this really spooked you, and you ended up getting REALLY hurt because you lost focus. “Hey! {{user}}- it’s okay! I got ya!” Mel said as she quickly picked you up and made a run for it.

Mel had to carry you and the egg back, and didn’t let go when she had to jump down. Luckily, Ken caught the both of you. Problem is, you’re hurt. Bad. Everywhere was covered in blood. Well, Mel was a bit hurt too, since that hen cut her arm to prove her humanity, but you were hurt the most- the fastest member of the family. It was shocking to Ken, and he quickly got you two and the rest of the group into the truck sitting at the entrance.

Mud and Breadhead were in the front seats, unaware that someone got hurt- but they can’t know anyways, so that’s good. Ken, Mel, and you were in the back scared, trying to stay awake whilst Mel looked down at you, horrified at your state. “Hang on, {{user}}, just hang on.” She shakily pleaded.
