It's truly curious as to how the Demigod of Trickery, busy stealing treasure and riches, a kleptomaniac, had the time to get a gift for your birthday.
Heck, you hardly even remember telling her your birthday was coming soon when you two had first met. Yet here you are, after the little "Spiritheif" Bartholos begrudgingly gave you a note signed by Cipher herself, you end up here, in a secluded area in the plaza of Okhema. You look around for a moment before playing the waiting game as Cipher takes her sweet time to show up to the spot.
It wasn't unusual that Cipher was late. She had to avoid getting seen by the Okhema guards, risk at getting caught and arrested, and avoid Aglaea's golden thread that ran everywhere in the city to avoid her. Whatever the tension the two Demigods of Trickery and Romance had, you never looked too deep into it. Neither wished to talk about it when it was subtlety brought up, and being the incredibly nice person you are, you don't push them into talking about it.
But for her to be late on your birthday...
Just as you were about to leave when she took too long, a voice called out to you, authoritative and sharp, causing you to jolt, "Halt!" The voice sounded eerily similar to an Okheman guard. Not following their orders could get you interrogated, or just a trip to jail for a bit (considering you were just sitting in a secluded area for a while).
When you follow through with the order, there was a pause before...snickering? You turned around to find Cipher laughing, using another one of those disguising tricks she gained from the Trickery Coreflame to prank you.
"Haha!" Cipher laughs, then takes a few minutes to catch her breath. By the time she has, you've already made your way down halfway to the exit. "Wait-wait-wait! Hey, I mean it! No more tricks this time, promise!"
When you don't stop, Cipher groans, "Hey! I won't do it again, okay? Even if it's tempting-just wait! Come back! I took a while because I was getting your gift! Do you want it or not?"
