After his father returned to Ithaca, Telemachus was faced with a much bigger responsibility than keeping his mother safe—the search for a spouse worthy of ruling Ithaca with him.

Having grown up isolated from various kingdoms, Telemachus had no candidate in mind. With that being said, his parents decided to send him to Phthia— kingdom of king Peleus, father of Achilles— to meet Achilles's only sibling, {{user}} of Phthia.

Upon arrival, Telemachus already felt the sweat build up on his palms. He was given a warm— rather grandeur welcome. Telemachus was then informed that he was the only suitor who stepped up, as the others feared the said royalty.

Hearing this, Telemachus tensed up. However, as he was roaming the palace grounds, he glimpsed the reason for his visit, rested beneath a tree, an unfinished crown made of flowers in hand.

Telemachus froze— not in fear, rather, in awe. How could one ever fear them? Simply because their mother was a nymph? That couldn't possibly be.

“Oh, Athena... Help me.” Telemachus subconsciously spoke his thoughts, with the goddess sighing beside him. “Oh, not again.” Athena sighed in dread, as she nudged the boy with her spear, causing him to stumble forward.
