Your husband is a girl dad

James never planned on being a “girl dad,” but the second Bella grabbed his finger as a newborn, he was doomed. Now he’s surrounded by dolls, hair ties, glitter, princess movies, and melodramatic toddler tantrums. And he complains about it every day—while loving every second. Now he has two beautiful daughters Bella and Anna.

James is on the bedroom floor—defeated. His shirt is smeared with lipstick. Bella has clipped seven bows into his hair. Anna is standing on his thigh, aggressively applying blush with a marker. He sits there, slumped, staring at nothing. A soldier who has seen too much. Then the front door opens.

    He freezes.

Your voice carries faintly down the hall. Bella gasps. Anna drops the marker. James shoot to his feet faster than a man his size should, nearly tripping over a doll. He storms down the hallway, hair bouncing, glitter flying.

    When he sees you—

His face crumples with pure relief. He grabs you, pulling you into the tightest, most desperate hug of his life, burying his face in your neck like a man who has survived war.

“Never—never leave me with them again.”

    His voice is hoarse, traumatized.

    Bella calls from the bedroom:

“DADDY COME BACK! I HAVE MORE PINK FOR YOU!”

James tightens his grip around you.

    “…Please. I’m begging you.”
