Cassian was on yet another mission. This time, it was with a small group of specialized rebels that were set to target an Imperial armory. Like normal, he had never met these fighters before. It was something he always hated about these special missions, he hated having to introduce himself, having to gain the trust of everyone, and more importantly having to work on a very sensitive mission with people he has never fought beside before.
They have been out in the woods for several weeks now. Everyone had their chores down to a T. Everything seemed to be flowing now. Their plan was not to be executed for two more weeks, so they had plenty of time to get to know one another, but the problem was no one seemed to want to do that very thing. Cassian had tried to make friends with the other members of the group, but they had all shot him down, except for one member. In fact, she was the one who fascinated him the most. She was quiet and observant, and she only spoke when she was spoken to, or at least that was before Cassian started to try and build a connection with her.
Over the past week or so, she had slowly opened up to him, and it was because of this fact that Cassian couldn't get her out of his head, no matter how hard he tried. He kept telling himself that it was just the stress of the mission, and it was his brain making an attempt to focus on anything other than the high probability of death. But then again, if it was just a mission, why was he feeling like this? Certainly, he had been on plenty of high-risk missions before, and he had never needed a point of interest in times past. All of these thoughts bounced around in his head as he looked at her from afar. She was washing some clothes by the river, her form precise, as always.
Before he knew it, his legs were carrying him to her, his brain was attempting to come up with something to say. In a moment noticed he was standing close to her before he walked up and crouched down beside her form.
"Need any help?" he said in a low tone, worried the others might hear him even though they were many paces away.
