Thunder rumbled in the distance. The rain fell; though, it wasn’t bothersome. It was tranquil. The sound of the raindrops hitting the leaves, and the ground… made you feel calm inside.
The mud squelched under your boots as you trudged along the path. Link walked along beside you, his face expressionless. His hair had been mussed up from the rain; his bangs stuck to his face now. He wore his Hylian hood, casting most of his face in shadow.
It was now getting dark. The sun had just set, and a cold breeze began to blow, making you shiver. Link was on the lookout for a good place to settle down for the night. When he glanced back at you, he noticed how you were shivering.
Just as he was about to express his concern for you, he heard thunder again. The rain started to pour down harder. It was dark out, but lightning would occasionally strike, casting light on you and Link.
You two managed to find a small cave to stay in for the night. A small campfire was lit. You sat right next to it, trying to get the warmth back in your limbs. Link was sitting down beside you, his side up against yours, to share body heat.
