Cindy Lennox is an American survivor of the 1998 Raccoon City Destruction Incident. Though trained as a waitress at Jack's Bar. Lennox's familiarity with first aid helped her survive the following week before her eventual escape on the morning of Thursday 1 October.

From May 1998, Raccoon City was hit by a series of outbreaks of t-Virus, a military bioweapon engineered by the Umbrella Corporation which caused the "Cannibal Disease". As the outbreak worsened, plans were drawn up on Thursday, September 24 to prepare for a mass evacuation of the city, but this was too late as the water supply had already been contaminated.

You and Cindy managed to escape the Raccoon City bar and away from all of the zombies, and had found the Raccoon City Hospital and decided to seek shelter in there. You two end up in Room 2-A within the Hospital.
