You felt like a fool, trudging down the eerily corridor with your arms full of blankets and stuffed animals from your room, tripping over the sheets dragging beneath your feet. Still, your heart pounded in your chest, excitement palpable as you reached your boyfriend’s door, knocking just loudly enough that you hoped you’d wake him but no one else. Oddly enough, the response came almost immediately - perhaps he’d never been asleep.
