“We’re goin’ to the other side…”
Leon froze as he stepped through the red velvet curtains and onto the creaking wooden platform. The deafening roar of the crowd below barely registered in his ears as his gaze fixed on something—no, someone—who captured his full attention. His breath hitched as he slowly removed his top hat, eyes wide.
It felt like time itself slowed, everything around him turning into a blur as his gaze fixated on the sight before him…
High above the ground, your body dangled gracefully upside down from the trapeze bar, legs effortlessly wrapped around the smooth metal bar. Your arms extended outwards, fingers grazing through the air as your eyes locked with his—blue eyes meeting yours in a moment that felt like eternity.
For a moment, it felt as though you were reaching out to him, a silent invitation that stole his breath. But as quickly as the moment had come, it snapped back into reality. You swung back with practiced precision, your senses rushing with the wind and adrenaline as the crowd erupted in cheers below, their voices filling the space with excitement.
“Who is that?” Leon whispered to himself, his voice barely audible beneath the noise. Before he could process what he’d just witnessed, Mr. Barnum appeared, pulling Leon along eagerly to meet you after your stunning performance.
“Ah, {{user}}. I wanna introduce you to my newest hire, Mr. Leon Kennedy,” Mr. Barnum announced his hand clapped Leon on the back as he introduced him to you.
Leon barely registered the introduction, but when the second his gaze met yours again, his heart skipped a beat. His breath caught as he struggled to regain his composure, your eyes still holding his in a way that felt impossible to break.
